Fewer than 1000 factory slantnose cars were built but there were a ton of replicas...I just assume they’re not real unless the paperwork proves otherwise.

Well it is the PCH in Malibu, its probably just about the only place I could believe it to be real. Still skeptical but its not impossible. Something doesn’t quite look right about it though.

Factory slant nose cars had brake vents in the rear quarter panels instead of stone guards, and usually the front valance under the bumper is the same as the stock 911/930 and not with that air dam

I mean, it would be really really cool to see a real slantnose 911 turbo in the wild, and less cool to see a regular old 911 fitted wit ha body kit.

Upon even closer inspection that is a whale tail spoiler and narrow body like a Carrera, not the flared fenders and “tea tray” spoiler from the turbo. Not a fan of the lambswool seat covers that are probably hiding cracked or ripped leather. Fake and a poser.

Keep this in mind. For a while, Targas were the cheapest older 911 you could buy, and a lot of guys bought them and tarted them up with wings and body kits.

Also... Did they make any Targa slantnoses?

Also, there were less than 1000 factory slant noses. That’s about the same number of Cobras Shelby built in the 60s.

With those numbers, “Is it real” is an easy question to answer. The odds are in your favor if you answer “No.”
